Ascona is 150 km from Milan (Italy) and 200 km from Zurich (Switzerland). It is easy to reach by car, by train (the Eurocity - Intercity route from Zürich to Milano has its nearest stop at Bellinzona; from Bellinzona there are good connections to Locarno, which is a few kilometres from Ascona) or by plane. Ticino has its own airport (Lugano-Agno airport). Another option is to fly to Zürich airport (and go from there to Ascona by train) or to Milano-Malpensa (bus shuttle to Bellinzona or to Milano Centrale train station).
