Al Copley

Pianist, singer and showman with a mind-boggling repertoire that ranges from boogie to blues and jazz, Al Copley’s career spans several decades. In 1978 he performed with the original Blues Brothers, John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd; later he founded “Roomful of Blues” and together they won two Grammy nominations. Opening for stars such as Eric Clapton, B.B. King and Bob Dylan, he was performed on some of the world’s most prestigious stages, alongside musicians of the caliber of Ruth Brown, Jimmy Witherspoon, John Hammond, Benny Waters and Scott Hamilton. He has been at JazzAscona in 2007, 2014 and 2015. Welcome back, Al!
