Emma Pask, Australia’s most popular jazz vocalist: James Morrison’s favorite and beloved Ascona habitué

Dates: 24-28.6  2017

Emma Pask

Emma Pask is Australia’s most popular jazz singer. She was discovered, when she was just 16, by James Morrison (“the greatest gift to Australian jazz vocals in the last decade”, he said in 2006) and held in great esteem by Ricky Martin in The Voice of Australia 2013, Emma Pask has performed worldwide, sang for stars such as Lady D and Nicole Kidman, collaborated with symphonic orchestras in Shangai, London, and Sidney, and recorded highly acclaimed albums. Her “Season of my Heart”, released under Universal in 2013, held the number one position of the Australian Jazz Charts for weeks, while her self-funded/self-produced album “Cosita Divina” (a tribute to her passion for latin jazz), shot to number one on the iTunes jazz charts in pre order. A habitué of JazzAscona since 2012, Emma Pask returns to delight us with a fascinating repertoire of great jazz standards, supported by a quartet of great musicians.
