Kyle Roussel & Roland Guerin’s Band

One of the most brilliant and sought-after pianists from New Orleans: Kyle Roussel

Dates: 27 & 28.6 2018

Kyle Roussel is a dynamic example of a modern New Orleans musician who has forged his own musical path while working with great musical masters. A graduate of the famed Center for Creative Arts at the University of New Orleans, he began his musical journey when he was 9; he studied classical music and discovered jazz in his teens. Roussel plays an array of genres from jazz and classical music, to funk, gospel, r&b, rock and all the musical influences that make the pianist one of the most interesting musicians in New Orleans today. He is regularly heard with highly regarded artists such as the Headhunters, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Christian Scott, Donald Harrison Jr., Delfeayo Marsalis, John Boutte, Shannon Powell, Bonerama, Glen David Andrews, and of course bassist Roland Guerin, with whom he teams up at JazzAscona 2018 in the Roland Guerin Band feat. Quiana Lynell project.
