Border 4tet: Interplay without borders

Border 4tet has been active since 2009 and has released two albums: Across The Border (2013, AltriSuoni Records) and Different Roads (2020, PDB Records). The name “Border” refers to the concept of a boundary, understood both in a musical sense (between genres) and in a geographical sense, reflecting the different origins of the four members. Performers, soloists, and composers, the musicians present their music with great chemistry and intensity, without ever giving up their characteristic sense of humor. They are all  active nationally and internationally, and have collected awards and collaborations around the world. Their live performances are marked by strong interplay and constant shifts in atmosphere. The piano-less lineup, with the vibraphone being the only harmonic instrument, offers wide creative space to shape the direction of each performance, always in true Border 4tet style. At JazzAscona 2026, they make a comeback with brand-new music composed by the members of the quartet.
