First admired in 2024 as part of the Groovin’ Up program, the Filippo Valli Quartet returns to JazzAscona 2026 with an ever-growing wealth of artistic experience, as evidenced by their recent invitation to participate in the Swiss Diagonales Jazz 2026. Already nominated for the ZKB Jazzpreis in 2023, the group consists of four talented musicians (Filippo Valli on alto sax, Yves-Yann Lavaly on piano, Emilio Giovanoli on bass, and Alessandro Alarcon on drums) who create a captivating and coherent musical experience. Their skills and interaction translate into performances that captivate audiences, blending traditional and contemporary jazz with R&B, soul, and hip-hop influences.
