The LSU – Louisiana State University Brass Band was born in Baton Rouge at the LSU School of Music of Louisiana State University, a creative and dynamic environment where young talents grow immersed in Louisiana’s musical tradition and the unmistakable spirit of New Orleans brass bands. Their music is an explosion of rhythm and color: blazing brass, irresistible grooves, and contagious energy that tell stories of street, celebration, and community.

In 2026, the LSU Brass Band will perform for the first time at JazzAscona, bringing the warm heartbeat of the American South to the shores of Lake Maggiore. This special debut, made possible through the collaboration with Adonis Rose, opens the festival’s stage to a new generation of musicians ready to make Ascona vibrate.
