Mauro Pesenti & Friends, rhythm and versatility

Drummer and percussionist born in Locarno, Mauro Pesenti moves with ease and creativity across jazz, fusion, blues, rock, and funk. Studies in Milan, Los Angeles – at the Percussion Institute of Technology and the Grove School of Music – and in Cuba, where he studied Latin percussion, have shaped him as a musician. He has been active since the 1980s, is a leader of several projects, and also works as a freelance musician and teacher. At JazzAscona, we will see him accompanied, day by day, by different musician friends.
