Soprano saxophonist, singer, and composer Nanna Carling has quickly established herself as one of the brightest voices in European trad jazz. In recent years, she has embarked on a highly successful solo career, captivating audiences in Sweden and across Europe with her powerful stage presence, clear musicality, and natural charisma. Born into a musical family, raised in the renowned Carling Family and niece of Gunhild Carling, she carries on this legacy with a personal and distinctive voice. Inspired by Sidney Bechet, Billie Holiday, and Johnny Hodges, she performs jazz with elegance, energy, and infectious joy. Making her debut at JazzAscona, Nanna will perform with a five-piece swing band, accompanied by trombone, piano, double bass, and drums, for a concert celebrating swing and timeless jazz.
