From the cradle of jazz: the New Orleans Jazz Institute Youth Band arrives in Ascona

The New Orleans Jazz Institute Youth Band is an ensemble born within the youth programs promoting jazz developed by the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra. This new educational project by the NOJO brings five young talents together, ready to bring the fresh and contagious energy of their city to the stages of JazzAscona. Having grown up immersed in the extraordinarily rich musical environment of New Orleans—among neighborhood brass bands, second lines, funk, gospel, and the most authentic jazz tradition—these young musicians embody the spirit of the world capital of jazz. With them, a living fragment of that unique, vibrant, and ever-evolving culture arrives in Ascona.
