The Jungle Jazz Band: the wild heart of early jazz music

The Jungle Jazz Band brings together six young musicians from different countries, now based in Berlin, united by a burning passion for the early jazz born in New Orleans in the first decades of the 20th century. Considered one of the most beloved hot jazz bands in Europe, the group frequently collaborates with leading musicians from the New Orleans scene and delivers a raw, warm, and powerful sound, faithful to the spirit of the first recordings by Jelly Roll Morton, King Oliver, Louis Armstrong & His Hot Five, Bix Beiderbecke, and Sidney Bechet. Considered regular guests at JazzAscona, they return again this year, enriched by the presence of Attila Korb on trombone and piano and Eldar Tsalikov not only on clarinet but also on vocals.
