A visual bridge between Ascona and the roots of jazz

Here is the JazzAscona 2026 poster. The graphic concept, designed by the Responsiva studio (also responsible for the new website), conveys energy, music and vitality. The gradient from orange to purple evokes the transition from day to night over the lake – the moment when Ascona lights up and turns into a vast open-air stage. Purple also creates a symbolic link with New Orleans, the cradle of jazz. The JAZZASCONA lettering takes centre stage: bold, strong, rhythmic like the music it represents. Abstract graphic elements suggest improvisation, audience movement and the freedom of jazz. The result is a festive, contemporary image portraying an open, international festival deeply connected to its territory.
