AET My Choice Audience Award 2026 goes to Angelique
As every year, JazzAscona audiences were invited to vote for their favourite band or artist of the festival. This year, for the first time, the public vote went to an artist from New Orleans: Angelique.
Concert after concert, backed by an irresistible band, the Louisiana-born singer, songwriter and entertainer won over more and more fans. With her impressive vocal range, Angelique brought the festival to life with a selection of great soul and jazz classics, entertaining audiences, getting them dancing and winning over even the most discerning listeners.
Angelique will be back next summer to perform at JazzAscona 2027, taking place from 24 June to 3 July, and to receive her AET My Choice Audience Award 2026.
The AET My Choice Audience Award is organised in collaboration with Azienda Elettrica Ticinese.
