Preview: 28 September – JazzAscona meets classicAscona
Reaching for the Moon by Adthe Mulla 2025
A surprising dialogue between different musical worlds. JazzAscona and the new classicAscona join forces for a special evening at the Teatro del Gatto (Ascona).
The concert will open with Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 8 and jazz-pop improvisations by the Vision String Quartet, followed by acclaimed singer Elina Duni, winner of the Swiss Jazz Award 2025, accompanied by Matthieu Michel (trumpet) and Rob Luft (guitar), enthusiastically received at JazzAscona last year. The event is part of the classicAscona programme, heir to the Settimane Musicali, which from 18 September to 10 October will present around fifty events featuring major international artists.
