He is a true entertainer, a real standout in how he owns the stage and energizes both musicians and audience. Trombonist and singer Glen David Andrews returns to JazzAscona after several years. His last appearance was in 2018, when he performed with a band made up of the youngest members of his family, the Andrews, one of New Orleans’ legendary musical dynasties. In short, Glen David’s return is a real event. And it will be a true treat to see him alongside NOJO5, a group composed of some of the finest musicians of the New Orleans Jazz Orchestra: Gerald Watkins on drums, Amina Scott on bass, Victor Atkins on piano, and Antoine Dyer, a student of Wynton Marsalis, on trumpet. We can’t wait!
